A new Christmas film called “The Green Day: Live at the White House” will be shown at the Los Angeles Film Festival starting on December 6.
The film stars Jack Black and Michael Stuhlbarg, who have appeared in “Green Day: A Farewell Tour.”
Black, a former member of the rock band The Who, said in a statement, “This is a perfect holiday for us to do this, for the film and for all of you to enjoy.”
“We’ve never done a movie together before and we’re really excited about this,” Black said.
“The film was really well received by the film festival, and I think it’s a really exciting opportunity to do something different for Christmas.”
“The green day” will showcase the band’s live performances and features appearances from “The Manchurian Candidate,” “Titanic,” “The Sound of Music,” “American History X,” “Diary of a Wimpy Kid” and “Jingle All the Way.”
Tickets are $25.
The festival is set to open its doors on December 12.
The film opens in select theaters nationwide on December 16.
