Canadians celebrate Canada’s 70th anniversary of World War II

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau will commemorate Canada’s birthday on Tuesday, March 21, 2019.

Trudeau will attend the 75th anniversary commemoration of the Battle of Vimy Ridge on Canada’s National War Memorial in Ottawa.

In 2018, Trudeau and his wife Sophie Gregoire will also hold a Remembrance Day ceremony in Ottawa’s Parliament Buildings.

Trudeau also will be holding a special reception for Canadian Forces veterans and their families at the National War Museum.

The Prime Minister will also be in attendance at the centennial celebration of Canada’s participation in World War I.
